Building a new furniture piece to fit the space

This room had a cute, yet cheap and uncomfortable chair that needed an update. The look worked, but the bar in the middle of your ass wasn't quite as nice. And the recline mechanism broke after about two weeks so... you get what you pay for. I wanted something that wasn't quite as wide for this space as it was intruding on the entryway, so I designed and built this midcentury-style chaise that allows for luxe pillows to recline and relax. With a solid walnut frame, the wood ties in nicely with the wood floor as well as the custom hutch below the t.v. Added a few fun pillows for pop.
